A bystander in New York City appeared to curse out former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) while he discussed the details of jury deliberations in former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial on Fox News Thursday afternoon. Per footage posted to X by The Daily Beast's Justin Baragona, the heckler appeared to shout, "You f------ suck, Trey Gowdy, you c---s------!" Fox News promptly cut away to a CNN clip of analysis from former FBI Director James Comey as the shouting started up, cutting off the last word.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has argued that the alleged scheme to buy the silence of adult film star Stormy Daniels was effectively a campaign finance plot to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Trump has denied any illegal conduct, and has further refused to acknowledge the affair with Daniels even happened.
He is almost certain to appeal the verdict. Much of the defense in Trump's trial centered on trying to discredit the testimony of Trump's former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, who told the jury that he arranged the payments with Trump's knowledge and encouragement. The defense focused on Cohen's documented history of making false statements, although Cohen has not denied this and said he did so on Trump's behalf.
