With Jools Holland . The performance took place on the iconic music show over the weekend, and was broadcast by BBC on Saturday evening (June 1). In the episode, The Black Keys joined Holland as guests, and broke out a couple of tracks from their latest album ‘Ohio Players’ .
First, they played ‘Beautiful People (Stay High)’ , the lead single from the LP which they dropped back in January, alongside the announcement of the album. This was followed by a rendition of ‘On The Game’ – which they performed alongside Britpop icon and former Oasis star Noel Gallagher. The collaboration on the night came as Gallagher is credited as a co-writer on the track, as well as others on the album: ‘You’ll Pay’ and ‘Only Love Matters’.
The High Flying Birds frontman also contributed backing vocals and electric guitar to the cuts throughout the LP. It comes as the US duo – comprising Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – recently wrapped up the UK and Ireland leg of their ‘International Players Tour’ .
