A high-value watch dealer is believed to have taken his own life just hours after he was put in a chokehold by scammers who posed as clients during a cruel three-day £2.8million sting. Oliver White, 27, was found dead at his parent's home in Shepperton, north Surrey, hours after two thieves assaulted him and stole dozens of watches at the 247 Kettles store in posh south-west London suburb, Richmond on Saturday.

His parents said the sting left Oliver "traumatised" and "unable to speak." The thugs exploited Oliver's vulnerability as the only employee in the store having posed as interested clients as part of a three-day sting. On Saturday, the duo seized their moment as unsuspecting Oliver spoke to them about one of the watches on offer while at his desk.

A second man then swept the store for valuable watches, placing them into the first thug's backpack - all while a frightened Oliver was still being held in a chokehold. The terrifying ordeal continued with the accomplice stuffing the watches into the backpack, as Oliver was held at their mercy.
