Pune: City-based artist Puneeta Ranjan’s solo exhibition titled “Poetry of Gaia” at Raja Ravi Varma Art Gallery on Senapati Bapat Road presents a mesmerising collection of 53 abstract artworks. Ranjan, a visionary artist and an ardent advocate of community art projects, has long been inspired by intricate wonders of the environment. Her artistic journey is marked by transformative initiatives to beautify chronic garbage dumping zones in Kondhwa and beyond.
“Mother Nature has always been my muse. I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find solace in the beauty that surrounds us,” Ranjan said. This exhibition is a testament to Ranjan’s profound connection with the natural world.
Her choice of mediums —ranging from watercolours and oil paints to ink and pencils — adds a dynamic layer to her pieces, each selected to best express the emotion of the moment. Her initiative extends beyond the gallery walls, as she is currently in discussion with hospitals in Jamshedpur and Pune to display her series. The show will run till this Sunday.
