Cambodia’s National Committee for Coastal Management and Development has launched a short video contest titled “My Homeland: Beautiful Beaches and Streams 2024” to promote tourism. Its purpose is to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting and maintaining beautiful and potentially valuable beaches and streams. The short video competition programme was officially launched on May 27, 2024, at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC) under the chairmanship of Ny Phally, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism and Deputy Secretary-General of Cambodia’s National Committee for Cooperation, with representatives from relevant ministries, institutions, and photography experts in attendance.

Speaking to reporters, Phally said “We have launched the Clean Beach and Stream Competition for many years, and so far the sub-national administration, as well as all stakeholders, have worked together to make Cambodia’s beaches cleaner to attract more national and international tourists.”.
