Manchester City superfan Noel Gallagher believes Phil Foden will eclipse the efforts of England legend Paul Gascoigne in five years. Foden scored two goals for City in their 3-1 win against West Ham on the final day which saw them lift a record fourth consecutive Premier League title . The 23-year-old has now won an incredible six league titles with his boyhood club and is set to become one of their greatest ever players.

As an attacking midfielder, Foden has on occasions been compared to Tottenham and Newcastle icon Gascoigne , who dazzled fans with his technique and creativity. However, City fan and rock legend Gallagher believes that his side's academy graduate star will surpass one of England's greatest ever players. When asked on talkSPORT Drive who he thinks is the better player out of the two, he said: "Phil Foden.

I think he's more dynamic, I think he's quicker, and I think I will eventually be proved right. "Maybe there's not much between them now but five years from now, Phil Foden will be three times the player Gascoigne was." Foden's two strikes against West Ham saw him end the season on 27 goals in all competitions, with 19 of those coming in the league.

His first was arguably the most important of them all as it helped settle the nerves of City fans as the title race against Arsenal went down to the final day.
