As more families plan to take their furry friends on holiday, a letting agent has unveiled the top in the UK. Canine Cottages reports that 75% of dog owners intend to holiday with their pets in 2024. The types of holidays dog parents want to share with their four-legged companions include family holidays (40%), romantic getaways (39%), adventure trips (17%), group trips (16%) and solo adventures (13%).

Walking is the preferred holiday activity for dog owners, with 92% of travellers naming it as their top priority. Another key consideration for dog owners is finding pet-friendly dining options, with 79% prioritising this. However, locating dog-friendly accommodation, activities and eateries can be challenging when planning a pet-inclusive holiday.
