Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw a black VW ID.5 driving around the High Trees Estate in Tulse Hill , Lambeth just after midnight on Thursday. Officers responded but there were no reports of any injured persons.



Detective Inspector Martin Thomas appealed for anyone in the area at that time - or who noticed suspicious activity - to come forward. On Friday at about 1pm, the Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a firearm discharge 11 miles away in the vicinity of Lakedale Road, Plumstead . A car was damaged but again no victims identified.

DI Thomas said: “All reports of this kind are taken incredibly seriously and are investigated thoroughly. “I am asking anyone who was in the area and heard or saw shots fired to contact us immediately. I also want to ask local residents to check their doorbell and dash cam footage to see if they might have caught something that can help us.

” Among recent shootings, Sebastiaan James-Kraan, 20, died in hospital five days after being shot by a group of men in Hanwell on June 9. His next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place next week. No arrest have been made.
