A travel YouTuber arrested for allegations of possessing was Leonel Esteban Borroni, the Argentinian , had sent his goodbyes to loved ones before raided his home. Relatives called to his home on the outskirts of Buenos Aires and found him dead after he failed to respond to calls from his family members. Police sources say the 40-year-old took his own life but are awaiting autopsy results.
The travel influencer, known by his username 'Un Leon Viajero' (A Lion Traveler), had sent messages to his loved ones following an alleged discovery of child pornography on his electronic devices. Borroni had been arrested on suspicion of possessing child porn shortly before his death on Friday (May 24). The YouTuber had been bailed from prison just hours after appearing before a judge as part of an ongoing investigation into a human trafficking and sex abuse probe.
Borroni was told by the judge he was under investigation as part of the probe. It is believed the influencer did not answer any questions about the child porn allegedly found, reported. A tip-off from authorities in Argentina led to the arrest regarding the child exploitation and several search warrants were approved and executed near Buenos Aires.
Another five men and a woman aged 20-50 were implicated in the probe. One has been described locally as a teacher and another as a tech firm employee. Borroni was not facing accusations of producing or creating the images, which are believed to have included victims under the age of 13.
