The of a woman who was suddenly killed when a rock have been revealed. Brittany Elizabeth Ferguson was driving in Burke County, when a rock thrown by an unknown assailant smashed through her window at around 8:40pm on May 15. The 23-year-old worker died upon impact as her 2006 Ford Taurus drove off the side of the road and went into a house, North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed.
A number of pictures on posted on Brittany's page reveal the woman smiling and enjoying herself, who was described as by one of her devastated friend. "Brittany, had a heart of gold and she was so sweet to everyone she ever met," she told The Mirror. In one full-body photo, she is seen wearing a pink dress and black heels with a beaming smile as one comment simply read: "Beautiful".
Other, close-up photos wearing the same outfit show a content looking Brittany, who was originally from Morganton. Elsewhere, another photo sees her with swept-back hair staring gently towards the camera. While in another image she is pictured on a sandy beach with the caption "Have all fun at Kure beach" - an area in North Carolina.
Following Brittany's death, a page was set up by her family to help pay for the funeral expenses, with many friends and family members expressing their heartbreak over the beloved young woman. Her godmother, Holly Simcox, described how she "loved to be around people". The post went on: "As the family and her sister Khristal go through grief.
