This Morning viewers all had the same complaint as the show aired a baffling segment this week. On Tuesday (May 21), two representatives from Chatteris in Bloom appeared to arrange hanging baskets full of flowers with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. In Bloom group president Sue Unwin appeared with her fellow volunteer Anne on the programme.

The pair were keen to name drop plenty of local groups, including the lights organisers and local milk-float drivers who help keep the flowers blooming. Despite the show being broadcast nationally, Sue even encouraged viewers to show up to their small village to see the illuminations. Things took an even more bizarre turn as the entire studio launched into a rendition of the hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful, with Sue and Anne encouraging even Josie Gibson, who was off-camera, to join in.

It all kicked off as the group weren't allowed to hang their hanging baskets from lampposts due to health and safety, and campaigned to the council to have the necessary certificates in place. Fans of the show were left scratching their heads over the “boring” segment, and wondered how received a nomination for a National Television Award in the Daytime category. It will go up alongside shows like , Morning Live and Bargain Hunt for the coveted title.

Hosts Dermot O’Leary, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard are also up for the Best TV Presenter award, along with former host Holly Willoughby. Turning to social media to vent their frustrations, one fan.
