Locals at a beautiful village in Essex say the area is fully deserving of its title of being one of the most picturesque in England. Finchingfield, near Braintree, is a near-perfect example of what a traditional English village should be. It was the setting for Sky 1 comedy series Chickens , starring Joe Thomas and Simon Bird of Inbetweeners fame, and was also home to famous faces such as Jamie Oliver .
