Danny Dyer is very regularly seen on our TV screens - but he's not as well known as being spotted on a rug in a local boozer. The Essex TV legend spoke to Essex Live alongside fellow TV legend Ryan Sampson from Danny's local pub, The Fox Inn in Matching Tye. Danny and Ryan spoke to me about their new Sky TV comedy, Mr BigStuff - including the hilarious reason behind the 'mug on a rug'.

Ryan and Danny play estranged brothers trying to patch up a sibling rivalry that may well be beyond repair - with the show mixing "broken families, fragile masculinity and carpet sales." The duo even played pranks on one another during filming, with Ryan getting a 'mug on a rug' of Danny Dyer's face printed on a huge rug which sits outside the Fox Inn pub in Matching Tye. Speaking to EssexLive, Ryan, who also wrote the show, said: "I wanted to do something to commemorate and honour Danny and my character is a carpet salesman, so I thought why don't I commission an enormous Danny.
