There are plenty of reasons why you may need some respite – from high-powered jobs, to raising busy families or dealing with stress in your personal life. Instead of heading to a luxury resort, try picking a more affordable destination. And one location people have been raving about can be found on the coast of Poland. Poland might not be the first place you picture when you think of a spa getaway, but just 10 minutes away from the stag-do-infiltrated streets of Gdańsk lies Sopot - which travel influencers have dubbed as Europe's 'most affordable' spa break.

It attracts millions of tourists every year so isn't exactly a hidden gem, but is still off the radar for many Brits. Travel TikToker Sandy gushed: "There are so many spas and spa options to choose from, including one of Poland's best spas, where you can find this beautiful infinity pool. Plus, it's a small seaside and I think we can all agree on the healing properties of a two-hour sunset cruise for only £25 per person.

" Sandy added that around Sopot you will find fountains offering samples of 'healing brine water' which you can drink diluted or simply inhale from the free stations in the street. Mera Spa is the acclaimed spa she referenced: here, you can enjoy a 30-minute back massage in front of the sea for around £42, or indulge in an hour-and-a-half ritual featur.
