1 of 1 2 of 1 We asked cool Vancouverites for their go-to summer spots and secrets. Gabriele Kuzabaviciute and Terrance Azzuolo are the co-organizers of Draw Around Vancouver . Favourite part of summer in Vancouver Vancouver is just glowing once the rainy season is over and there’s so much to do: from going camping, to swimming at the beach, to cooling off in a cool lake, to spending hours on patios as the sun shines past 9pm.

Vancouver is truly made for summertime. Our favourite thing to do in the summer is find inspiration for making art. Go-to takeout spot If we’re having takeout, we love Meet on Main.

It’s not too far from the Queen Elizabeth Park, either, so you can pack your picnic blanket and set up by the flower garden. Nothing like a plant-based meal surrounded by plants. Best watering hole We’re really partial to sour beers at Draw Around Vancouver.

In the Olympic Village area, there’s no shortage of breweries crafting beer after delicious beer, from Faculty Brewing to 33 Acres. But our top pick has to go to Electric Bicycle Brewing (you gotta try a Kapow! burger, too). Summer event you’re looking forward to the most The Great Grandview Garage Sale is amazing because you get to meet people from the area and get a glimpse into their lives.

Also, a bit of a shameless (or is it shameful?) plug: Draw Around Vancouver will be hosting outdoor drawing events all summer long that you won’t want to miss! Best outdoor concert venue There’s a really fun outdoor.
