‘Beyond Walls: A Collaborative Immersion’ is a showcase of the individual and collaborative works of participants from the third edition of the Sunaparanta Art Initiator Lab (SAIL) KALYANI JHA | N T BUZZ The third edition of the Sunaparanta Art Initiator Lab programme has culminated in the art exhibition ‘Beyond Walls’, themed around Home – Memories, currently on at the Sunaparanta-Goa Centre for the Arts, Altinho. The 10-month mentorship programme consisted of 10 Goa-based creative practitioners who were guided and led by art historian Lina Vincent. The programme focused on developing the artists’ skills, aesthetics, and research methodologies.
Among the programme mentors were Bengaluru-based artist Ravikumar Kashi who worked with the mentees on the idea of critical thinking and problem-solving when it comes to creative spaces. Dale Menezes worked with them on the methodology of research while Jaya Ramchandani focused on collaborations and conflict resolving, and how to work in a group. Shreyas Karle and Himali Bhoota who run Cona studio did a two-day workshop where the mentees stayed together on Divar island and worked on various subjects like food, films, printmaking.
