Clovis King of the Franks was baptised by bishop Remi in 498 which was the reason Reims was chosen to be 'The Coronation City'. Beyond the historic significance of the church the decorative architecture is simply stunning and one of the most important examples of Gothic architecture in the entire world. Unlike the often overwhelming throngs at Notre Dame de Paris, here you can admire the intricate stained glass windows and soari.
