Bradfield City Centre’s Central Park will be the beating heart of Sydney’s new aerotropolis in the city’s west surrounding the new Western Sydney Airport.
The Park will sit in the main civic centre in the new CBD, spread across two hectares. The new CBD set up, which will spread over 58 acres, five times that of Barangaroo, will be the first major city built in Australia in more than 100 years, according to the NSW Government . “Located at the heart of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, Bradfield City Centre sits on the doorstep of the new Western Sydney International Airport,” government marketing for the new project reads. “It will become a vibrant, 24/7 global city, driving advancements in industry and acting as a central gathering place for arts, culture, and entertainment. “Central Park will be the first step in establishing Bradfield City as a vibrant, cultural city immersed in a true parkland environment.
Central Park will welcome visitors from across the globe and become a key gathering space for residents and workers.” Construction of Central Park is due to commence in 2026 in line with the opening of the Bradfield Metr.
