A 20-year-old man from New York City has been extradited to Pennsylvania to face retail theft charges in Berks and Chester counties. Investigators say Audys A. Soto Sandoval was part of a group of four males who entered the Ulta Beauty store in Broadcasting Square shopping center on March 19 about 10 a.

m. According to Spring Township police: The foursome took items off the shelves, putting them in their jacket pockets and shopping bags, and quickly left the store without paying. The incident was recorded on store security cameras.



Merchandize with a total value of $928 was taken. An effort by Ulta Beauty and law enforcement from surrounding states using an incident management database resulted in Soto Sandoval being identified as one of the suspects. Further details were unavailable.

Spring police learned the group has been reported to be involved in eight shoplifting heists from Ulta stores in Pennsylvania and surrounding states, with merchandise worth a combined total of more than $9,000 being taken. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant in April for Soto Sandoval. State police in Chester County also obtained an arrest warrant for a heist at the Ulta store in East Marlborough Township, near Kennett Square, that occurred two days after the Spring Township incident.
