Two Strictly Come Dancing stars have ended their relationship after two years. It comes as the latest blow for the BBC dancing competition, which has been surrounded by controversy in recent months. Nadiya Bychkova and Kai Widdrington started dating in 2022 after falling in love on the programme.

The former couple initially opted to keep their romance on the down-low before they decided to go public. Shortly after sharing their romance, the couple embarked on their first dance show with one another, titled Once Upon A Time. The success of the show saw them tour across the nation as they offered fans "a glimpse into the real-life couple's fairytale romance".

A source said: "But the pressures of touring - being in each other's space 24/7, and the stress of performing a sell-out show eventually took its toll." The source said that they had been "blissfully in love" but the split was utterly "heartbreaking".

Speaking to The Sun , they went on to add: "After a tough few weeks, they sat down together and decided to call it quits. They remain incredibly close and are determined their split will not have any impact on the next series of Strictly - they remain consummate professional.
