Despite hailing from the affluent Nanabhai Bhatt family and being the niece of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, producer Mukesh Bhatt , and screenwriter Robin Bhatt, Ssmilly Suri never managed to have a successful film career like her cousin Alia Bhatt or her brother, director Mohit Suri. Although she made her debut playing the lead role in Mohit’s blockbuster action thriller Kalyug, she did not land more roles afterwards and withdrew from cinema in 2012.
