Springwatch co-hosts Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan appear to be incredibly close on-screen - but it's not the case away from cameras. The wildlife presenters have worked together for over three decades on television, having first joined forces on BBC One's children's programme The Really Wild Show in the early '90s. They've since crossed paths on Autumn and Winterwatch on BBC Two.

Most recently, they co-hosted the nineteenth series of Springwatch, which returns at the end of this month. But despite spending so much time together during filming, the presenting pair "don't hang out" in their spare time, Chris revealed. In an interview with Radio Times in January, Chris said that he and Michaela, 58, enjoy a "comfortable relationship" and don't see each other much, but value the time they do. He said: "We don't need to speak all the time, just when it's necessary." Chris, who has always spent much of his time alone, continued: "I'm not terribly social; she's a very social person so if she's over from South Africa, she'll invite herself to the house.
