We are well and truly settled into summer now, despite the miserable weather conditions we have endured over the past few weeks. Luckily, the weather won’t stop the huge list of various events taking place across the country this weekend. From country to pop, DJs to rock, this weekend is set to be a mostly musical one, with several high-profile names landing in the country to play to thousands of fans – hail, rain, or shine.
Here are five of the top events taking place this weekend. Don’t forget the poncho, though! A post shared by Taste of Dublin (@tasteofdublin) Get ready, foodies. The Taste of Dublin festival is back with a whole host of guests creating a culinary haven in this unmissable highlight of the summer.
This year sees the event take place in the middle of the city — Merrion Square. The Taste of Dublin offers visitors the unique opportunity to source essential ingredients from artisan producers, chat with Ireland’s top culinary talent, and sit in the front row for masterclasses taught by some of Ireland’s most high-profile chefs and cooks. Eight mouth-watering sessions will take place over four days (June 13 – 16), and tickets will be sold separately for each session.
Be careful, though, as tickets are only valid for the time and date indicated on your ticket. Festival goers can expect to see a range of well-known chefs taking part this year, with M&S culinary ambassador Mark Moriarty , Galway chef JP McMahon, and lifestyle enthusiast Trisha Lewis al.
