The beloved charity event returned for its 13th year on Sunday (June 9), with the England team taking on a Rest of the World XI at Stamford Bridge. The special saw a plethora of A-listers come together to raise millions for Unicef.

Since its inception in 2006, the event has raised a staggering £90million for the charity, aiding those in need in countries like Cambodia. The star-studded line-up for the charity special included names like Robbie Williams, Paddy McGuinness, Erin Doherty, Danny Dyer and Bobby Brazier representing the England team. On the other side, the World XI team boasted names such as Roman Kemp, Usain Bolt, Martin Compston and Lee Mack.



But viewers were surprised to see former Love Island star and boxer Tommy Fury return to the pitch. Running out on the pitch to the Rocky theme tune Gonna Fly Now by Bill Conti, the stadium booed the player as he subbed in for comedian Maisie Adams. It didn't take long before fans flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to share their outrage online.

One user penned: "'SoccerAid here he comes, the worse soccer aid player of all time Tommy Fury." Another agreed: "Finally getting to see Tommy Fury attempt football again, he's so bad. Highlight of last year! #SoccerAid.
