Days after American soap actor , the colleague who was with him when he died has spoken out about his final moments. The 37 year old actor from South Carolina, who was best known for playing Brandon Corbin in the daytime series , was shot on the street in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday 25 May. He was fatally shot by one of three suspects who were attempting to extract the catalyric converter from his car at around 3am, according to police.
Anita Joy, who worked with Johnny in a local bar, wrote an Instagram post on Wednesday 29 May describing his final moments. “I’ve needed to take some time to collect myself and my thoughts,” she wrote. “I was with Johnny in his last moments and I’m here to be his voice after such unimaginable events.
He was killed senselessly by a coward who reacted without care of the gorgeous life he was taking. I’m angry, I’m sad and I’m all the feelings at once, but above all, I am here for Johnny’s justice.” She explained that she and Johnny had been walking to their cars after finishing a shift at the Level 8 Bar, when they noticed criminals close to his car.
