This was after Siya led the South African national team, the Springboks to become double Rugby World Cup Champions in October 2023. Federer on the other hand, who has a whopping 12.4 milliion followers on Instagram, has his own link to South Africa.
The iconic Swiss tennis player’s mother, Lynette Federer is from Germiston, Gauteng. In 1970 Lynette started working for a Swiss Chemical Company (Ciba), this was where she met Roger’s father, Robert Federer. The pair later got married in 1973 in Switzerland.
