THE heartbroken sister of a 17-year-old boy who was killed in a workplace accident has paid a devastating tribute to her "precious baby brother". Reece Donohoe sadly passed away after an incident at the Wilton Waste Recycling Limited facility in Co Cavan at around 4.30pm last Thursday.
Gardai and emergency services attended, but the 17-year-old, who is from Kilnaleck, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed from the scene to the mortuary in Cavan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination was carried out. The Health and Safety Authority were also notified, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court.
Reece is sadly missed by his "heartbroken mother" Mary, father Brian, sisters Amber and Jade and his grandparents Rita and John. The young lad is also lovingly remembered and missed by his niece Croía, stepfather Paul, uncle Niall, girlfriend Meabh, stepbrother Aaron, extended family, cousins and "his many beloved friends". Reece is predeceased by his grandparents Joe and Joan Donohoe, great-aunt Angela, aunt Adriana and nephew Kai.
