Much-loved English actor Sir Ian McKellen was rushed to hospital last night after he accidentally fell off stage while performing in a play. The esteemed film and stage actor, who is 85, was performing in Player Kings at the Noël Coward theatre in London when the incident occurred. Sir Ian, who is best known for playing Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings films and Magento in the X Men films, cried out in pain after his fall, while staff rushed to help.
