Cortes Island's annual self-guided all-island garden tour is back and will feature 15 unique creative spaces this year. The tour is called Cortes Island Creative Spaces: Garden & Studios Tour and will take place on June 22 from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Visitors can spend the day exploring beautiful gardens from Whaletown to Cortes Bay, featuring textile, ceramic and painting studios.
Artwork will also be for sale. The Cortes Museum's heritage garden has roses and perennials from former homesteads, while some other locations will showcase the work of original homes and their builders. Tickets for the tour are $20 (children 12 and under get in for free).
Tickets can be purchased at the Cortes Museum, Cortes Island stores (Natural Food Co-op, The Cortes Market, Marnie's Books, Gorge Harbour Marina Store, Squirrel Cove General Store), Inspirations on Quadra Island (671 Plaza Rd, Quathiaski Cove), and the event day at the Whaletown Garden Centre (15 Carrington Rd.).
