Imagine being able to see what you’re looking at, but not hear the sounds around you. This rings true for our sweet little princess who returned to The Banner office as part of the Stephens County Humane Society’s Take Out Tuesday program. Eve visited The Banner earlier this year in January when she was around 15 weeks old.

Now, Eve is around 8 months old and she’s grown a bit, but this sweet little girl still proves she carries a few princess-like qualities, from her sweet smile to warm personality. Eve, a mixed breed, is deaf, but she still loves to play with toys, especially a little stuffed monkey. While she may not be able to hear you say “I love you,” she can feel your actions with your heart and gentle hand.



This sweet girl is still learning her visual commands, but she will eventually sit for a few treats and lay down by your side. Eve proved she’s an explorer in every way and this young pup still loves to sniff her way around a room to familiarize herself with her surroundings. Going for walks is great activity for Eve as she’s able to run off some her her energy.

While Eve’s still learning how to walk on a leash, she’s easily corrected to walk a little more gently. During her day outside the shelter, Eve took the traditional walk through Main Street Duncan stopping to meet new friends at Think Ability Gardens and R&S Drug to show off her beautiful and sweet personality.
