Sarnia's troubled Suncor Agora stage will get some attention as council approved spending $25,000 Tuesday night to advance design services with the aim of improving the site in the future. Councillors approved spending $25,000 from the Suncor Agora reserve fund for professional work including architectural design package, with the goal of improving the stage and venue. Mayor Mike Bradley told fellow councillors the site was a "failure" from day one.

The Suncor Agora stage has drawn complaints from users and performers, most about its direction facing south-west, into the sun, as well as a lack of seating and electrical and lighting challenges. "Why don't we just go back to Ground Zero and start all over again? It's not usable," Bradley mused to council.
