It might not be widely known, but some mundane items are a no-no on flights through Dublin Airport. With household finances taking a hit, many jet-setters are stuffing their hand luggage full to dodge the charge of checked-in bags.

But there's a prohibited list of things that you can't carry onboard or whisk through security at Dublin Airport, Dublin Live reports. Carriers like Ryanair let customers have one free cabin bag that slots under the seat in front. And Aer Lingus packers get a larger 10kg bag as well as a smaller personal item for free.
