RYAN Seacrest has reshared a post about his longtime stint on American Idol ahead of his upcoming Wheel of Fortune gig. The TV personality, who has hosted American Idol since its 2002 inception, will be expanding his resume with Wheel of Fortune in September. Last year, it was revealed that Ryan , 49, would be taking over as host of the popular game show following Pat Sajak's retirement.

Pat , 77, will be seen in his final episode on Friday, June 7 after leading the show for nearly four decades. As American Idol recently wrapped up its latest season, with Abi Carter as its winner, Ryan has been resharing some memorable moments. On Wednesday, the podcast host shared an upload from Idol's official account onto his Instagram Stories, which labeled him as the "best host.



" The Story showed three photos of Ryan with recent Idol contestants onstage. "Thanks to the best host @ryanseacrest for another year of love & laughs!!" the post had written. Ryan added to the sentiment, "Such an incredible season.

" It comes just days after some Wheel of Fortune fans criticized him as a "bad fit" for the game show. Ryan was the topic of conversation in Pat's recent Instagram video, which showed him sitting down with his daughter, Maggie Sajak . The two discussed Pat's legacy and how he ended up securing his WoF gig in the first place.
