Run Britannia, an on-foot adventure from Land’s End to John O’Groats, will pass through Bideford and Greenlands from June 7 to June 8. This 1,000-mile journey features 25 runners and is organised by Rat Race, an adventure trip company. Run Britannia covers 70,000 feet of elevation over 37 days.
The route includes famous long-distance paths such as the Southwest Coast Path, Wye Valley Walk, and The Great Glen Way. Designed by runners for runners, the route is largely off-road, avoiding main roads, allowing runners to witness ever-changing landscapes and some of Britain's most famous landmarks. The adventure provides participants with accommodation, meals, support vehicles, safety staff, an Event Doctor, and daily massage and physio support.
