STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Rumble Boxing, the celebrity-backed group fitness concept that operates more than 350 locations across the country, will soon open its first Staten Island location.

According to the company, classes are slated to begin in the Tysens Park Shopping Plaza in Oakwood this fall. “Many know Staten Island as the ‘borough of parks,’ home to some of NYC’s most beautiful outdoor spaces,” noted studio owner Ryan Jones. “But on the other side of that beauty is grit.

A bold, unflinching spirit that is at the soul of Staten Island. That’s where the culture of Rumble Boxing and Staten Island perfectly intersect. They marry tenacity and community.

Rumble Boxing was always meant to have a presence on ‘The Island.’” Founded in 2017, the franchise is a boutique boxing-inspired fitness concept that has attracted social media attention thanks to celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Justin Beiber and Kevin Hart. Known for its water-filled teardrop boxing bags and six-punch combos, Rumble divides its classes between skills-and-drills work and resistance strength circuits that are delivered in 45-minute, 10-round workouts.
