RED BLUFF – The regulars rallied around as they celebrated the opening of their new digs in May. The Round Up Saloon packed its bags and moved into a great big building. Regulars are surrounded by familiar sights, but the new location is far superior to the previous space.

The previous building was 2,000 square feet. The new building is a whopping 8,000 square feet. On Easter Sunday at 8 a.



m. Kendell Mayfield and 24 volunteers from the community moved everything from the Round Up Saloon’s previous address on Washington Street to its new spot at 840 Main Street. “I couldn’t have made this transition without this great community and the people who volunteered to help,” Mayfield said.

Mayfield is a local owner who was born three blocks away from the business. He is a contractor who owns Mayfield Inc. As a contractor, he has done the majority of the massive remodel.

He purchased the building so he could expand his popular bar business, whereas he was leasing the previous property on Washington. The Round Up was not ready to open once the move took place in April. There was so much to do to transform the new space.

The next-door neighbors at Guadalajara Restaurant came to the rescue and opened their doors to the employees and customers. Bartender Annie Malohn couldn’t say enough about how wonderful they were. “They welcomed us into their place and shared it with us and our customers.
