Actor Rory Cowan is unflinching in his steadfast defence of Israel, despite being subjected to, oftentimes, vile personal attacks for his unwavering support of the Jewish state. Fair City star Rory has not been undeterred in putting himself in the social media firing line with his voracious defence of Israel after the October 7th attacks from terrorist organisation Hamas. ‘The things that I post about Israel are either actual fact or my own personal opinion,’ Cowan told Extra.

ie . ‘I just keep on posting what I think. I don’t give a s***e what anyone says to me on social media,’ he said.



And he said the block button is the greatest deterrent. ‘I’ve most of the idiots blocked anyway,’ he laughed. ‘Not many of them have anything constructive to say about the situation and they don’t have a clue what’s going on over there.

’ A lifelong friend of Israel, Cowan has been visiting the Middle-Eastern country since the late 70’s and says even a war won’t deter him from taking a trip. ‘Israel is just a magical country. It’s unlike anywhere else.

It is simply beautiful. I’ve been going there nearly every year since 1979. And I’m thinking of heading over in September’, he revealed.
