Funeral details have been announced for a Waterford teenager who died in an e-scooter crash last week. Seventeen year old Avuzwa Idris of Crystal Mews, Cork Road, Waterford City died after the scooter he was travelling on with his friend Gilbert Collins collided with a bus at 2.10am on June 27.

Collins (15) died at the scene, while Idris passed away in hospital. Avuzwa - formerly of South Africa - will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family; father Fatah, mother Priscilla, brothers Mury, Nur and Adam, sisters Noora and Aminah, uncles Kasim and Yusuf, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. A memorial service will take place at Maranatha Christian Community Church, 1b Poleberry Link Rd, Manor, Waterford on Wednesday July 3 at 6.



30pm. Avuzwa's funeral service will take place on Thursday (July 4) at Maranatha Christian Community Church from 10am with removal at 12pm noon to Kilbarry Cemetery for burial on arrival. Members of the Waterford community and beyond have left condolences on RIP.

We’re all gonna miss you so much, love you." A staff member at De La Salle College commented, "My deepest sympathy to Avuzwa’s family, especially his mum, dad and siblings, and his many fri.
