Rihanna has hit a new milestone in her illustrious career. The superstar added four more diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to her collection. RIHANNA MAKES HISTORY This makes her the female artist with the most diamond singles in history.
The RIAA website now lists Rihanna’s chart-topping hits “Umbrella” featuring Jay-Z, “Work” featuring Drake, “Needed Me” from her album Anti , and “Stay” from 2012 as diamond-certified. This comes shortly after her 2012 hit Diamonds achieved diamond status in April, according to Billboard. The new additions bring her total to an impressive seven-diamond singles.
RIHANNA CELEBRATES Rihanna, or RiRi as she’s fondly called, responded to this achievement with her trademark nonchalance. She took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to repost Roc Nation’s congratulatory message. “Ain’t no back n forth,” she wrote, casually brushing off her shoulders in the accompanying graphic.
Fans, collectively known as the Navy, flooded her replies with congratulations. Yet, they couldn’t help but remind her about her long-awaited album, R9. RIHANNA NAVY SEND LOVE “Congrats Rih,” one fan wrote.
“I know you don’t ever have to rerelease music but do us a solid ONE MORE TIME. Just that album please.” Rihanna’s journey to this record-breaking achievement started back in 2007, according to Forbes.
That year, she released Umbrella, featuring Jay-Z. The song became her second No. 1 hit.
