The popularity of each location was measured by a unique index score based on the number of hashtags and views each coastal gem has racked up on Instagram and TripAdvisor rankings.
The lower the overall index score, the higher the ranking. This sandy beach is one of the island’s most stunning locations, offering spectacular views of Cape Clear Island and the Atlantic Ocean.
Dog’s Bay in County Galway secured second place. This white sand boasts beautiful, calm waters, making it perfect for a swim during the warmer months. While visiting, you can enjoy the stunning coastal views.
Curracloe Beach was tied in second place. Located in County Wexford in the southeast of Ireland, it’s no wonder this sandy beach received such high marks. Curracloe also has a claim to fame, being used as a filming location for Saving Private Ryan.
It was a close call, but Keem Bay, tucked into the scenic coast of Achill Island off the coast of County Mayo, bagged third pla.
