An oceanfront mansion in Barnstable has sold for $22.75 million, breaking a Cape Cod record. It was the highest sales price to date for a single-family home on Cape Cod, said Paul Grover, the broker for the sale.

The Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors confirmed it was the most expensive residential sale since their organization began tracking data in the MLS Property Information Network. The previous record was $20 million for a property on the Penzance Point peninsula in Woods Hole, the group said.
The property at 835 Sea View Ave. came on the market at the beginning of 2022. The sale was recorded with the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds on Tuesday, Grover said.
