A reckless drone pilot could have caused a "near disaster" at an osprey nest in North Wales. Baby bird Little Bob was born on Sunday at the nest at Llyn Brenig, on the border between Denbighshire and Conwy . It is the first chick of the 2024 season.

Luckily the little one managed to roll/crawl back to the nest cup." They added that the rural policing team had stopped someone flying a drone in the area at around this time and believe this could be linked to the incident. They said: "This could have been the reason she got spooked but we are not 100% sure.
