Rachel Stevens admits her split from Alex Bourne is "not easy" but she "muddles" through it. The S Club singer admitted that her relationship with Dancing On Ice professional skater Brendyn Hatfield was the catalyst for her marriage split, and admits meeting him was the confirmation that her marriage was over. Rachel had been married to Alex Bourne from 2009, before they went their separate ways in 2022.
Speaking on Lorraine today, she explained: "It's a process like with anything and I love the word navigate because it so is. I did a podcast yesterday and they were like it's like Laserquest, especially with kids - there's always things coming at you and they're always our priority and focus and keeping them safe in it all. It's not easy but I feel very lucky.
"The kids are our priority and we've had a lot of help and advice in the lead up to our separation and we just manage it the best we can. We muddle our way through it in the best way we can with them at our forefront." Rachel admitted her split from Alex was "messy" and confessed she was really scared about telling him about Brendyn.
She said: "It was messy. I knew that we were growing, that I was growing apart, but I was in turmoil, because, first of all, my kids. It was really scary, because I knew as soon as I said that, that was it.
