The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) has announced on Monday they will plant palm trees and flowers on both sides of the canal in the Techo Sen Russey Treb Park in Preah Vihear province to beautify and protect the environment. Techo Sen Russey Treb Park was established and recognised by Royal Decree in 2014 and covers an area of 11,435 hectares, located in Chhep district, Preah Vihear province, to protect wildlife, natural resources, and the rich biodiversity in Chhep district. In March, RAC announced a project to dig a 52-kilometre canal around the Techo Sen Russey Treb Park in order to conserve its natural resources along with cultural and ancient sites in the area with a projected budget of $520,000.

Sok Touch, President of RAC, along with other RAC officials, the community, officials from Chhep district, the National University of Management staff, teachers and students of Chhep Secondary School will participate in the tree planting on Monday.
