Police are tracing a person 'sexually touching' runners in East London, a year after a teen was jailed for a string of similar assaults at the same beauty spot. The Metropolitan Police Service has appealed for witnesses as it investigates multiple incidents at Hackney Marshes. A spokesperson for the Met said on X: "We are appealing for witnesses following a series of assaults on women in the Hackney Marshes area.
Officers are investigating a number of reports of sexual touching over clothing - the suspect is targeting runners." In a statement, the force added: " Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a series of sexual assaults within the Hackney Marshes. A number of reports of sexual touching over clothing have been reported between March and June, typically between 7am-9am.
