Lucknow: Centre for Gender and Environment (CGE), in collaboration with Greenhouse Cafe and Lucknow Farmers Market, organized a plog run – a combination of jogging and picking up litter – on the occasion of Van Mahotsav. Despite rain, at least 25 enthusiastic participants came together for a cleanup walk in a nearby forest reserve. The plog run highlighted the issue of waste accumulation in reserve forest area, with a significant amount of litter found near the entrance itself.
The rain-washed forest provided a beautiful backdrop for the event, and the participants’ enthusiasm remained high throughout the cleanup..
