A mother of the bride has divided opinion after donning a stunning dress to the wedding of her daughter. Lori Dewitt, 53, walked down the aisle donning a stain Audrey + Brooks dress which featured a plunging neckline and removable train. Beaming as she walked down the aisle, Lori, who hails from Louisiana in the United States, also held a small bouquet of white flowers, leading some to think she was the maid of honour rather than the mother of the bride.

Lori’s daughter Amanda followed, wearing a more simplistic wedding down — which included a sweetheart neckline. Clips of the beautiful affair were shared by wedding content creator Chloe Leblanc via TikTok with people flocking to the comments with a mixed reaction to Lori’s dress. One asked: ‘Why does the MOB want to be the centre of attention???’ while another echoed: ‘Why upstage your daughter???? Shocking.

’ A third added: ‘It’s not about the MOB.’ Others were in disagreement with the backlash Lori faced, with one reasoning: ‘There’s no way ANYONE can outshine a bride. She’s the bride.

MOB deserves to look fabulous as well. Mom looks amazing.’ Another said: ‘Finally! A MOB dress that is not dowdy.

Love this for both of them.’ A third commented: ‘If my mom isn’t as beautiful as I am I don’t want it!! My mama is my everything and I need her to look gorgeous.’ Others were just a little caught up on elements of Lori’s outfit, with some finding the train a bit ‘inappropriate’ and mor.
