X/cws_groundscrew The grounds crew at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska has been working hard to create a memorable field design for the 2024 College World Series and their efforts have paid off with a gorgeous design that is going viral. On Wednesday, the grounds crew's official X account posted a photo of the new design. Perfectly straight lines are spread across the field except in the center field, where they decided to make it look extra special by embedding the image of the NCAA championship trophy into the grass.

The post has gone viral with over 3,000 likes and 300 reposts since this morning, not to mention plenty of fans commenting on nice it looks. Take a look: Playing FOR a 🏆 ON a 🏆 Presenting your 2024 Men's College World Series Field Pattern! #MCWS | @NCAABaseball pic.twitter.

com/oNbcZGW254 Fans absolutely adored it: "might have to make this one permanent," a user suggested. "This might be peak CWS field pattern," wrote another. "Well done.

This looks fantastic," a third wrote. "That maintenance crew deserves a raise. Bad ass!!!!" a fourth declared.

Though while most found it beautiful, some pointed out that on a practical level it'll probably be very distracting for the players, particularly the outfielders. "Everyone will love it..

. ..

.except the outfielders," they noted. Eight teams will compete on that field in the weeks to come, but only one will emerge with the trophy featured in the middle of the outfield.
