PATRICK Mahomes' mom, Randi, has pointed out that the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is not all roses. Mrs. Mahomes, 52, opened up about the hate her son and the rest of the family receive because of the NFL star's fame.
In an appearance on The Mom Game Podcast , Randi said that while she's been thrilled seeing Patrick , 28, succeed, the seven years of his NFL career have been one of the most difficult periods of her life. In big part, that's because of all the nasty things strangers say about her loved ones – and even herself. The Texas native said she was shocked by the amount of vitriol she found on social media following one of Kansas City's Super Bowl triumphs.
"After we won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, I kind of went back and I was just looking through social media trying to fall asleep, Randi said. "And I would look and someone would give me so much hate to me and to my children, all three of them. And I would look at their social media and I would be like.

"Why would this mom or dad reach out to say this?" Randi said that she's witnessed people get along really well with Patrick's siblings, Jackson and Mia, after meeting them. But, she continued, many others "try to tear everything else down" after seeing the two-time NFL MVP "on this pedestal" only. "I don't wish it on even my worst enemy," Randi said.
