A number of festivities are planned for a pair of Packwood businesses celebrating one-year anniversaries on Saturday, June 29. Skate Creek Salon & Trading Post, under the ownership of Laci Eastman, and Longmire Springs Brewing, owned by Amy Besunder and her husband, Peter Charbonnier, will each commemorate the business milestone. “Laci Eastman's Skate Creek Salon & Trading Post has become a beloved hub for locals and visitors alike, offering top-notch salon and spa services and a charming trading post filled with unique finds,” the businesses stated in a news release.

“Since its inception, the salon has not only provided exceptional beauty services but has also contributed to the vibrant spirit of Packwood.” To mark their anniversary, Skate Creek Salon & Trading Post will host a celebration from 11 a.m.



to 3 p.m. featuring “swag bags” for the first 25 guests, appetizers, beverages and the opportunity to indulge in tiny tattoos and hair tinsel.

Longmire Springs Brewing, founded by Besunder and Charbonnier, has quickly become a cornerstone of the community's social scene, the release stated. “Known for its craft brews and inviting atmosphere, the brewery has fostered a sense of camaraderie among residents and visitors, making it a must-visit destination in Packwood,” according to the release. In honor of its anniversary, Longmire Springs Brewing will showcase special beer releases, including a limited bottle release of the 1-Year Anniversary Stout.
